Objectives

MEOUG though closely aligned with Oracle Corporation Middle East, is an independent, not for gain association managed by Oracle Users. Funding is received by annual membership subscriptions & other events, which allows MEOUG to remain, both financially and operationally, independent from Oracle. 
 

We provide a platform for Middle East Oracle User community, from which communication and sharing of ideas between members takes place. Our various events enable you to network and learn from your peers, various experts and Oracle personnel on how to acquire the best out of Oracle products. We function as a facilitator for communication between Oracle and their existing customer / user base helping members to achieve optimal implementations.

Member's priorities are communicated directly to Oracle Corporation in terms of future product development, direction and enhancements. MEOUG is part of International user group network, and works closely with other groups throughout the world. Our region is one of three distinct international user group regions, including the Americas and EMEA and Asia Pacific. These 3 regions, together with the Applications and Tools-centric groups, form the International Oracle User Council (IOUC).

The IOUC is a forum where the global Oracle user community can address issues of strategic importance with Oracle executives. With involvement in the IOUC by MEOUG management, as well as through direct channels of communication to Oracle Middle East, MEOUG Members are able to directly influence product development, support, quality, pricing, education and other key business and technical issues. Our goal is to provide users with more than just information but networking opportunities too!
 

MEOUG hosts a number of events throughout the year focusing on Oracle Technology, Hardware and Applications. The MEOUG Oracle User Conference - MAJLIS, is the definitive educational event for Oracle Users. Our Special Interest Group Meeting's (SIG's) provide right opportunity for Education, Expanding of knowledge, Sharing experiences on Services, Applications and Issues etc. We encourage members to show case their success stories to enable knowledge sharing amongst users
